4-Legs-Good Dog Training Manual

All you need to teach you and your dog essential survival skills.

The book should give you a good understanding of why as well as how to train your dog.

It also includes essential basics like the law pertaining to dogs that you simply must understand when you own a dog.

The 4-Legs-Good Dog Training Manual is essentially my work resource. All my clients get it to support their training. Now on it’s 9th edition the manual certainly works as a stand-alone dog training book! In addition to containing all you need to teach you and your dog essential survival skills there is back ground information about what a dog is, including canine social organisation in addition to essential basics like the law pertaining to dogs and the that you simply must understand.

As an exciting new addition there is a log in that comes with the book that allows you to access my video resources. These include videos of some of the various training exercises in action and a half hour film that I have made on dog body language – or dogs body language!

Very useful!

How to choose the right size

Measurement Instruction - do not use the weight range to select the size
Girth Measurement
Before ordering, please measure your dog for a proper fit.
Using a flexible measuring tape (or leash), measure from just behind the front legs all the way around your dog.
You are measuring the circumference of the body just behind the front legs, like measuring for a "belt."
Go to the sizing chart and select the proper size using the girth measurement rather than the weight measurement.
If the measurement falls within two harnesses, we suggest the larger size. Example: 20" girth = Small size
The 1" wide webbing is better proportioned for big shouldered, wide-framed dogs. It is also better for high energy, reactive big dogs.
X-Small harnesses are designed to be used with light weight leashes/snaps (7/16" or 3/8" wide).
Retractable leashes are not recommended.

X-Small (7/16" webbing)
16.5 - 20.5" girth 12 - 20 lbs.
Small (5/8" webbing)
20 - 24.5" girth 21 - 33 lbs.
Medium (3/4" webbing)
24 - 28" girth 34 - 60 lbs.
Med / Large (3/4" webbing)
26 - 32" girth 40 - 75 lbs.
Med / Large (1" webbing)
27 - 32.5" girth 40 - 75 lbs.
Large (3/4" webbing)
32 - 40" girth 70 - 130 lbs.
Large (1" webbing)
32 - 40" girth 70 - 130 lbs.
X-Large (1" webbing)
39 - 50" girth 131 - 200 lbs.
