I run a weekly clinic on a Tuesday or Wednesday at the West Midlands Showground in Shrewsbury. Whilst the home visit is probably the optimum for gathering information about the problem behaviour, I feel that now I have over 12 years experience in the field the clinic provides a totally viable alternative. I take as much information as possible up front, requesting a completed questionnaire, video footage and a floor-plan of the home environment. This is usually sufficient information for me to work out what is going on and form a plan of what to do about it! In addition, the clinic allows us to benefit from the amazing 53 acres site and all that it can offer to dogs and their owners!
Clinic appointments take about 2 hours and include the 4-legs-Good Dog Training Manual, access to useful video resources via the website, notes pertinent to the problem behaviour on the day and a bespoke email summary a day or two after the appointment for you to follow. It is usually beneficial to have at least one follow-up appointment.
As with home visits, the referring vet is kept informed at all stages of the process.
Clinic appointments provide a more affordable option than the home visit - there is also less likely to be a long wait for an appointment. The affordabilite and flexibility make practical, hands-on follow-up support more accessible.
The total charge including the one and a half hour appointment, manual, video, notes, email summary together with unlimited telephone and email follow-up is £150. Follow-up appointments are charged separately at (£65 45-minute). If your dog has an aggression problems towards other dogs please have a look at the dog 2 dog page.
